Money! (Part “Sidetrack” or 1a)

sand-&-money

Awww crap. I dropped by my local friendly banker today. And he was friendly. I discovered that the $50,000 that I had to raise also came with cutting my opening costs by 60%. Hmm funny that I don’t remember that part of the initial conversation. Not to say it wasn’t said. I just don’t recall how that fit into the “we want to work with you to get your financing” conversation. Then, in talking to my esteemed lawyer and advisor, Max Neuhaus, breaking things down, it looks like it could be as much as $87,000 left to raise. *sigh* And yet, these things should not be a surprise anymore. This isn’t the first time the winds have changed.

And on the bright side, I did receive a check made out to WeatherVane Creamery, LLC for $5000 today. So it isn’t all that bad.

    Hi Sarah,
Don’t lose sight of your dream! It’s just within reach!!!! What you’ve already accomplished is monumental and amazing!

Can I throw out a random idea?? The population of River Falls is about 15,000. Say, we subtract about 5,000 that might account for children and estimate the adult population at 10,000?

Maybe you’ve already done this….and if not, what if you enrolled the residents of River Falls into the Weathervane Creamery fundraising? Perhaps a suggested donation of $5 for each of 10,000 residents towards this vision — which will bring more community and fun into the city. Or maybe a merchant could donate T-Shirts to give to each person that contributes $5. Or fireworks and a T-Shirt………….??

We’ll bracket all those “friendly” words from the banker and set them aside. In front of you is a whole new frontier, without limits!!! Historically, things that have never moved ARE NOW MOVING!!!!
